It is merely one of many things I will add to my list of heroic exploits. [He leans back into the couch. Making himself comfortable.] Anyway, the whole thing was pretty crazy. It was definitely annoying, but it didn't get into my head. As experiments go, I would give it a six.

Ten being a 'not so bad'. So one would be worst.

So what kind of experiments rank a one?

The worst ones are where they mess with your mind. Every February, they make you fall in love with someone. It doesn't matter who. The first time was bad, though. It was a friend of mine that liked me already. So when it turned out it wasn't real, it was... rough. Really bad. The next year was just as bad, because I convinced myself it wasn't real. So I spent a week being in love with a girl, but not letting myself be with her.

And then there's October. They try to freak us out at the end of the month. One time it was just making us... see and hear things. Creepy things. The stuff that would make you freak out. Stuff you didn't want to remember. Last year, we thought we would all die. The Moon looked like it was going to crash into us. We just had to sit there and wait silently for it to finally land and crush us all. It didn't, in the end. But it looked like it would.

But maybe the worst is when they show us what we could be, if things were different. It doesn't hurt and it isn't scary. But that sticks with you and doesn't go away.

That's the thing, Korra. You can't 'expect' these things. The worst experiments are the ones you don't realize happened until they're over. The only thing you can be ready for is not letting it break you.

Yeah, generally speaking. During an experiments, everyone may think each other is being weird. So it's harder to know what's normal. But right now? Yeah. If Tenzin says something, I'd trust him.
